The cheaper, plastic 9 legacy to iBooks and PowerBooks of old has finally been removed from the spectrum of Apple laptops, and suddenly the decision spectrum has narrowed to two choices: the MacBook Pro, and the thinner MacBook Air, updated this morning with a faster processor and preinstalled with OSX Lion. The MacBook Air has walked an interesting path since 2008, first as a high-end executive plaything, then a more attainable but still specialty interest ultraportable. Last year’s MacBook Airs debuted in October, well after back-to-school shopping. This year, however, the new Airs have emerged in late July, perfectly timed for students planning their computer purchases. The MacBook Pro, meanwhile, last saw an update back in February. @silenteyesspy yeah im sure the original duke nukem and wolfenstein were totally for xbox 260 -___- and no i dont have a 7000 dollar i7 that ridiculous but i know a fast computer from a slow one pretty darn quick even if its just plain web surfing…. and i REALLY dont wanna deal with a console red ring of death AKA overheating hardware and i dont wanna deal with its poor power of not being able to run the upcoming battlefield 3 in full 1080 p
@BForL1f3: Computers too me, like with a lot of people will be for work..that’s why consoles have been invented way before the computer picked up..you might have the “fastest processing” but this isn’t the old days, now a days the speed has gone so high, that you can’t even tell anymore who’s faster if you’re doing the basic/moderate things..I would never spend my money to have the fastest processor cause I’d never take advantage of the full speed..

Why isnt any USb for restore or backup in the 2011 macbook air ? How can we restore it now if something is wrong with our computer ?

@ricardonobregaX I would go with either the the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. MacBook pro if you need more speed, macbook air if you do light video editing and pictures. BTW they discontinued the MacBook
