Inspired OS Demo and Setup (Winterboard Theme)
Very quick demo of the upcoming iPhone theme by myself (K.Nitsua – of iNitsua, iNSPIRED, and NeoStyle fame) and Zausser (of iSatin X/ZX – ZX5 fame). This video is really meant to show the ease of organizing the apps are with Stack V3 (which is still in its beta phase). Several issues arise in the video, mainly due to my big fingers and my shakiness since I’m holding a camera in my other hand. The video shows how I set up my “games” folder in the “Casual” desktop. Extensions used in this video are: – Iconoclasm (for theme layout) – SpringJumps (for theme navigation) – Stack V3 (for app organization) – MultiIconMover (to move multiple icons onto another page) – Wiggle-free (because I hate the springboard wiggling) More of a description of the actual theme is to come. The theme is heavily influenced on Barton Smith’s “LOCUS OS” concept and the idea of desktops being based on the users location and activity. The theme is based around the SpringBoard extension STACK V3 by Steven Troughton-Smtih. Chapter 2 excerpt from the following presentation: This class will cover the creation of realistic fire, ranging from base flames through to complex propane fireballs and explosions, smoke and special pyrotechnic effects. Until recently the creation of digital fire was so difficult that most film-makers opted to shoot real pyrotechnics on set or separately (for compositing later). The introduction of advanced fluid solvers, volumetric shaders and rendering solutions have, however, enabled us to create convincing, directable, computer-generated fire and explosion simulations. In this session many areas of 3ds Max will be touched on, including particle flow (and some box sets), lighting, rendering, fume FX and materials. A lot of the theory discussed will be transferable over to Maya and other 3D applications.
